In Italy the so called città d’arte are places where the architectural and historical heritage are incorporated in the landscape and have been since centuries part of the urban fabric and of urban everyday life. While such cities with their beauty and cultural value are a source of pride for our country, they also cause a series of problems related to their conservation and pose continuous challenges to urban planning because of their complexity, that makes it more difficult to adapt to the new urban needs.

The conferences that will take place within the framework of Città d’arte 3.0 aim at addressing these questions and proposing a reflection on the future of cities of art and of the Italian historical, architectural and artistic heritage.

Professor Christian Iaione, LabGov coordinator, will be present at the event where on the 12th on November he will take part in the round table “ Culture for urban regeneration: innovative practices in the third sector”, organized by ANCI and Forum Terzo Settore. The discussion will be centered on the fundamental role that cultural planning can and should play in urban regeneration processes, in particular through the experimentation of co-governance processes that manage to bring together public policies with actors from the third sector.

The complete program of the event is available here.
